Webshop sales and warranty terms
Terms and conditions of sale of Metos Webshop
Webshop of UAB „METOS“ Business ID: 111664548) is an online shop that sells products to business customers and public entities inLithuania. Sales contracts comply with the Lithuanian Sale of Goods Act, unless otherwise stipulated in these terms of sale. UAB „METOS“ Webshop is referred to below as "Webshop", UAB „METOS“ as "Metos", the company doing business with Metos as "Customer" and the user of the service as "User". Metos can unilaterally change the terms of sale by announcing them on its website.Entry into force of the terms of sale
By ordering products from the Webshop, the Customer accepts these terms.
Webshop pricing
Webshop prices are valid for purchases made in the Webshop and do not include all additional services offered by Metos. The prices of the online shop are in euros excluding VAT. Prices do not include transport, installation or user instruction on site.
General
The metos.lt Webshop only delivers to Lithuania.
All product shipments are insured for transport damage by Metos. Due to continuous product development, Metos reserves the right to change products, product information and prices. Metos can unilaterally change the terms of sale by announcing them on its website. When an order is placed, the prices and terms of sale valid at that time are applied. Changes resulting from changing regulations enter into force at the time when the regulations enter into force, without separate notification.
Company Account and Customer information
The Customer can place an order in the Webshop without registering and pay for their purchase with a credit or debit card, or register as a Company Account Customer in the Metos Webshop, in which case they can choose an invoice as the payment method.
When placing an order without registration, the Customer must provide their accurate contact information and delivery address when placing the order.
When registering in the Metos Webshop as a Company Account Customer, the Customer must provide accurate company information, delivery and billing addresses, and contact information. The customer must ensure the information they provide is correct and up-to-date, and if necessary, notify Metos of changes in the information using the contact form on the website. When a Customer is applying for a Company Account, Metos has the right to check the Customer’s credit information and to decline the application. Invoices are delivered electronically.
The Company Account may only be used by the Customer whose name is provided during registration. The Customer is responsible for the confidentiality of the user ID and password and the Company Account connected to them, and for limiting access to them. If the Customer has reason to suspect that data security has been compromised, they must immediately inform Metos using the contact form on the website.
Delivery time
The current availability of each product is stated in the Webshop. Products marked "Available" in the Webshop are in central warehouse in Finland, and will be available within 7–9 business days, and will be received by the Customer within 5 working days (delivery time 14 working days). However, if the ordered product is not available, we will inform the Customer about the situation and the availability of the product.
For products marked as “on order" product, the date the product will be ready to be sent from the warehouse will be included in an order confirmation sent to the Customer.
The products will be delivered in two batches if an order includes products marked in the Webshop as both "In stock" and "Custom order product”, which cannot be delivered at the same time. If the Customer wants everything delivered in one batch, this must be mentioned when placing the order.
We do not take responsibility for delayed deliveries.
Deliveries
The customer can choose the delivery method when placing the order. Otherwise, Metos has the right to choose the cheapest delivery method for the products and the specific delivery location. If the customer wishes, products that have been paid for can be picked up at the Vilnius warehouse.
The delivery methods are as follows:
The customer collects the product from the Vilnius warehouse. The address of the Vilnius warehouse is Kalvarijų g. 163A-2, Vilnius 08311. Opening hours and contact details can be found here.
As parcel post or as freight. Packaging is included in the price. Metos selects the method of delivery according to the product or the number of items to be transported.
Installation
The delivery includes freight, transport insurance, installation of the product to existing connections according to the installation drawings (water, sewer, electricity).
Metos does not carry out the connection of gas installations. For refrigeration units that have a remote refrigeration unit, the installation service must be ordered individually. If a loading service is required, it must be ordered separately.
Installation
The installation service offered by Metos includes the installation of the purchased equipment, excluding HVAC and construction/structural work. The installation work is performed on a one-visit basis on weekdays (Mon–Fri) between 8:00 and 15:30. The availability and pricing of installation work performed at other times must be agreed separately.
The installation site must be in the condition required for the installation work (construction and HVAC work, etc.), according to the agreed schedule. The route to the installation location must be unobstructed. If the Customer is responsible for bringing the equipment to the installation location, the equipment must be present in the room when the installation work begins.
Delivery fee
The following transport charges apply in Lithuania for the products purchased by a Customer from the Webshop:
When the total tax-free price of the products included in the delivery is less than €200 excluding VAT, the transport charge is €10 excluding VAT. For purchases over €200 excluding VAT, shipping is free of charge.
Payment options
The Customer of the Webshop can choose the most practical payment method from the following.
Payment is possible using a credit card or debit card.
Payment by invoice, 10 days net. Paying by invoice requires that the Customer applies for a Company Account and registers to the Metos Webshop.
Invoices are delivered electronically. The interest on late payment is the reference rate according to the Interest Act plus an additional interest of 7% according to the Interest Act. We charge a processing fee of €10 excluding VAT for billing information changes requested by the customer after the invoice has been sent.
Unless otherwise agreed, Metos is entitled to invoice the agreed payments when the goods have been delivered.
If the Customer does not pay the invoice by the due date at the latest, Metos has the right to charge late-payment interest as well as reasonable collection costs.
Ownership
Metos retains full ownership of the goods it sells until the purchase price has been paid in full, including interest and costs.
Equipment warranty and warranty conditions
The warranty period begins on the day the item is handed over to a representative of the Customer. If the Customer finds during the arrival inspection that there is a defect in the goods, the warranty period does not start until the day Metos has corrected the defect.
Metos gives the goods it sells a warranty against raw material and manufacturing defects. The warranty period is one (1) year. The warranty applies to products sold in Lithuania. If requested, the person requesting a warranty repair must prove the validity of the warranty.
Warranty repair requests must be submitted without delay and during the warranty period to Metos Service by calling +370 612 49 900. Difficult-to-move equipment or equipment installed as a fixed part of the kithcen will be repaired at the Customer's premises if possible. The Customer must deliver easily movable products to a maintenance service (locations can be found at this link) for repair at their own expense and responsibility. Repaired equipment can be picked up by the Customer or delivered at the Customer's expense, using a transport method chosen by the Customer.
Warranty repairs are carried out as quickly as possible during normal working hours (Mon–Fri 8:00–16:00). If the work is performed outside of normal working hours at the Customer's request, the costs resulting from the work, including overtime compensation, will be charged.
The warranty covers the repair of factory defects if notified within the warranty period. The mentioned defects are corrected by repairing the product to working condition.
The warranty does not include defects caused by:
– when the customer is transporting or moving the device
– the user's carelessness or negligence
– neglecting the instructions for use, maintenance or care
– circumstances beyond the control of the giver of the warranty
– repairs or maintenance performed by non-authorized technicians
– incorrect installation or incorrect positioning of the product at the place of use in relation to the user instructions or settings of the product
– using the product for other than its intended use
– the normal wear and tear of the product
The warranty also does not include the repair of defects that are irrelevant in terms of the product's functional condition or appearance. Gaskets, glass parts and light bulbs are not covered by the warranty. Parts that break due to natural wear and tear are not covered by the warranty. The warranty does not apply if the user does not follow the instructions given in the maintenance and operating instructions for the device. The warranty covers only the cost of rectifying a manufacturing defect.
Liability for defective products
If there is a defect in the product or service, the Customer must inform Metos and give Metos the opportunity to inspect the defect and correct it. Metos's liability for defects shall not exceed the purchase price paid by the Customer to Metos for the product. Metos shall not be liable for any direct or indirect costs or loss of revenue resulting from the defect or the use of the goods or services.
Returns
Returns As set out in point 17 of the Retail Regulations, goods such as electrical goods, cosmetics, underwear, jewellery, furniture, games, books, medical devices, etc. are on the list of non-returnable goods.Please note that most of the items sold in Metos stores are in this category and are non-exchangeable and non-returnable.
If your item falls into this list, you can only return it in good quality with the seller's goodwill.
If the goods do not fall under the non-returnable list, the buyer has the right to withdraw from the goods within 14 days from the date of purchase, i.e. the date of the VAT invoice, without giving a reason, but subject to payment of the delivery costs, in accordance with the conditions set out below:
- the returned goods are in their original packaging in good condition; the goods are unused and undamaged;
- the goods are in good condition (intact labels, protective films, bags, etc.);
- the returned product is in its complete state of completion with all the documentation supplied by the manufacturer;
- the product must be accompanied by the proof of purchase when it is returned.
The buyer's request for replacement of the purchased goods of adequate quality with similar goods or for a refund, for the reasons set out in Article 6.362 of the Civil Code, may only be granted if the seller agrees.
Please note that, in the case of online purchases, different rules apply under Article 6.22810 of the Civil Code.

When the Customer returns the ordered product, the return must be agreed with the OnLine seller, who can be contacted by phone +370 5 249 61 50 (Monday-Friday 8:00-16:00). Once the return has been agreed, the Customer will be sent a document relating to the return. The document must be attached to the returned product. The Customer must return the product to Metos at his/her own expense to the following address: Kalvarijų g. 163A-2, Vilnius 08311, Lithuania. Once Metos receives the product, it shall be inspected and, upon confirmation and acceptance, the agreed amount shall be refunded to the Customer to the same account that was used to make the payment.
Information security
The information provided by the Customer is stored in Metos' customer register. The information is used to manage and maintain the customer relationship. Metos does not disclose information to third parties.Our privacy statement can be viewed at this link.
